How to Save Money this Heating Season

Tuesday, November 17th

With temperatures dropping, we can expect to see our heating costs rise. One of the most common questions we hear this time of year is, “What can I do to save money on my heating bill?”
Here are a few quick and easy tips to help you lesson the blow of a PEI winter:

1. Be water conscious. Long hot showers can be tempting on those cooler mornings but shorter showers use less hot water and therefore will save you money. It’s good for the environment too.

2. Install a programmable thermostat that changes your heat settings while you’re sleeping and when you’re not at home. We can install and program one for you!

3. One of the best ways to lower your costs is to get your furnace properly cleaned and serviced every year. A clean furnace is an efficient furnace.
